Very happy with this purchase today!! We were just driving by hoping to find something to eat and stopped in here. The chocolate baklava was so buttery and delicious! And our chicken wrap was as well. Highly recommend! I thought to leave a review as I was about to scarf my last bite down, so here it is 😂

Never been to Greece. But as close to the real deal as I've tasted. Excellant "tacos" in pitas, and lamb swerma had great flavors. Best taboulah I've ever had, not just loaded with wheat. Baba ganouch is wonderfully smoky!

I walked past this place many times but never knew it was a Mediterranean food place. When I didn't have a kitchen for a while I researched lunch spots in Petaluma and Urban Deli came up. It is now one of my favorite lunch places, love their meat plates. It's such a good deal and it comes with pita bread, hummus and salad. I'm going to say it's the best Mediterranean food around the area.

Since my last review, I've been back to Urban Deli maybe a dozen times or more and have tried many other things from the menu and no big surprise, but everything is so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My go-to is still the gyro wrap and yes I still unequivocally consider it the best gyro wrap I've had, not just in Petaluma, but probably all of Sonoma County. I recently had a falafel wrap as well and it was out of this world delicious - the falafel have a crispy exterior and an interior that is so smooth, soft, moist, and absolutely packed with flavor. As a self-proclaimed omnivore, I can honestly say I could have the falafel wrap all the time and not miss meat at all. We've also tried pretty much every plate option and they're all fantastic, depending on what protein you're in the mood for. All the meat plates come with delicious saffron rice, a side cucumber/tomato salad, hummus, thinly sliced red onion, a couple pieces of pita, and a sprinkle of sumac. My personal favorite is the chicken shawarma, but of course all the meats are super juicy, tender, and packed full of flavor. Also, don't miss the Mediterranean sampler plate - it's a great way to try many of the salads and dips they have available, and while all the salads/dips are delicious, their hummus and dolmas are absolutely to die for. It makes for a great meal by itself as well!
On top of the amazing food, this is a small, family-owned business, and Sam and his wife are the nicest, warmest, and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. We are so truly lucky to have Urban Deli in town, and if you haven't had a chance to check it out, you should do so - you absolutely will not be disappointed!

The shawarmas here are really good. We had the chicken and lamb shawarma with tzatziki sauce and a lentil soup. Their baklava is definitely the best one I’ve ever tried. Thank you Sam. Will be back soon!

The chicken Shawarma wrap and the sampler platter are both so tasty. Everything was really well seasoned and flavorful and filling. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

We read Houston’s article in the Argus about Urban Deli and had to try it. It was everything he proclaimed.
I tried the Mediterranean Platter and everything was delicious - the falafel were uniquely spiced and not too salty which mixes often are. My husband tried the chicken schwarma platter and the walnut baklava and enjoyed them both.
The customer service was excellent.
So excited to have this new deli downtown.
